Staff Sergeant Nathan Mullins

Hello Parents,

OMI staff, and student's. I am SSG Nathan T. Mullins! I am the new Charlie Company, Middle School TAC NCO. I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas and attended college at Stephen F. Austin State University for Criminal Justice. I have mentored and coached children of all ages through volunteer work and projects with my Service Fraternity, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated.

 I am currently in my 9th year of military service, assigned as a Section Chief/Squad Leader with A Btry 1/143rd FA. I joined the U.S. Army in 2009, and was assigned to the Texas Army National Guard’s 1st Battalion 133rd Field Artillery. While in the Texas Guard, I deployed in support of Operation Strong Safety II. That deployment was a stateside border mission ranging across the southwest border of Texas and México. At the conclusion of my service in Texas, I decided to pursue other dreams and relocated to Oakland in 2016.

 If I could ensure you all one thing, it would be the fact that I am fully committed to the youth in my community. I wholeheartedly believe that they should be nurtured, protected, and motivated into becoming the future leaders of tomorrow. I’m most excited about this position because it grants me another opportunity to impact the lives of children in a community much similar to the one I was raised in. I believe it is our duty to invest in their lives. With the help of you all, I believe we can send the young bright minds of OMI into the future as well prepared leaders!
