Volunteers Make a Difference

At Oakland Military Institute College Preparatory Academy (OMI), volunteers play a vital role in supporting our mission of developing academically successful, responsible, and community-minded leaders. We are proud of the strong partnerships we share with our families, community members, and supporters who generously give their time, talents, and expertise to enrich the educational experience of our cadets.

Our students/cadets are at the heart of everything we do. Whether assisting in classrooms, supporting school events, participating in field trips, helping with special projects, or contributing behind the scenes, volunteers help create a positive and engaging learning environment where every cadet can thrive.

We sincerely thank you for your willingness to serve and invest in the success of our students and school community.

Before beginning volunteer service, all volunteers must complete OMI's volunteer clearance process. Volunteer applications are reviewed and approved by school administration before final clearance is granted. Depending on the nature of the volunteer assignment, requirements may include background checks, TB clearance, fingerprinting, and compliance with applicable state and school policies designed to ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

To learn more about volunteering at OMI, including volunteer expectations, clearance requirements, and available opportunities, please review the Volunteer Handbook and related resources provided below.

We look forward to partnering with you in support of our cadets and our school community. Thank you for making a difference at Oakland Military Institute.
