Geometry Scale Factor Art Project
Objective:
Take an object/Box (ie: a candy box, tissue box, ricearoni box, etc.) and measure its length, width and depth/height. Use one of the SCALE FACTORS to either enlarge or reduce the measurements. With the new measurements, create an enlargement or reduction model of your chosen object using materials at hand, paper, cardboard, etc. (Try to not spend any money on this)
Rubric:
70% of Grade will be having your object pasted side by side with your model on a cardboard backing along with your original measurements, scale factor, and CORRECTLY CALCULATED model measurements – labeled on your backing or written/printed on a separate paper that is pasted on the backing (Do not go out and buy poster backing – use any cardboard you have – shoebox, etc)
30% of Grade will be based on your artistic recreation of your objects pictures/artwork – front side, left/right sides, and top/bottom sides. (Back side is not required – since, the object will be pasted on a backing board)
Use colored pencils, crayons, markers, or paint for color.
Scanning, printing, or xeroxing of object pictures/artwork will NOT be accepted
Project will be graded as a Test score
Due Date:
Monday after Spring Break – April 8, 2019
Late Projects will not receive full credit
