OMI Distance Learning Guidelines

Days	Staff Expectations	Student Expectations
Mon	Teacher posts a recorded video OR host live session for direction instruction. Teacher explains assignments for the week. Teacher creates a thread in google Classroom where students can ask questions for clarity. Updates to gradebooks are due in Aeries.	Students are required to attend the live OR watch the videos. This will count as attendance

Tues	Teacher assigns discussion boards for the week (2) Teacher Assigns (2) smaller assignments for the week due Thursday or Friday (teacher discretion Teacher assigns (1) large weekly assignment due Saturday or Sunday (teacher discretion)	Students are required to complete discussion boards by due dates Students are required to post (1) original response to discussion board Students are required to respond (2) of their classmate’s posts This will count as attendance and participation grade.

Wed	Teachers hold office hours to answer questions Calls home as needed for students who have (0) weekly participation.	Students required to attend if they have questions about assignments.

For the next two weeks, we are offering opportunities for your student to continue their studies through at-home, online activities with their teachers.

Students will be able to access Google Classroom accounts when they wake up in the morning.

In order to use Google Classroom students must login using their OMI email. Please contact [email protected] if you need a password reset.

Students will also receive a notification once new assignments are posted to their accounts. They will be asked to learn, produce work, get feedback, revise, and will be graded on their work. Virtual office hour times will be posted within their Google Classroom accounts. We will continue to update you with information as we receive it.
