Annie was born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from California State University, Fresno with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child Development. After graduation, she worked for Alameda Head Start for two years as a Family Services Assistant and Family Advocate. She loved the work, but wanted to try something different. She left education and spend several years in corporate recruiting and HR Management in San Antonio, Texas.
In 2006, Annie went through a credentialing program and taught Kindergarten for 10 years. During this time she had the opportunity to be involved with a Parent Engagement Pilot Program. She realized that this was where were passion was.
Annie moved back to California and started at OMI in 2017. She is thrilled with the opportunity! She loves being in education but focusing on the Parent Engagement piece. Annie plans and coordinates all Parent meetings and events on campus. She also helps with the Community Service program by managing the tracking system, Noble Hour. Annie is one of the coaches of the Debate Team in conjunction with Bay Area Urban Debate League.
Annie also loves being an engaged parent at home to her two school aged children, Zoey and Zach.
