Cesley Frost has served as Administrator and Teacher at OMI since 2009. Prior to coming to OMI, she taught in the Mt Diablo Unified School District and served in a number of capacities including, Grade Level Chairperson, Department Coordinator, Leadership Advisor, Instructor for Adult Education, and CARE team member.
A Berkeley native, Cesley attended Concord High School before earning her BA from UC Berkeley in 2004. She earned her teaching credential and master’s degree from Western Governor’s University and Induction Certificate from REACH Institute. She is a lifelong member of the NAACP and member of the CAL Alumni Association.
Ms. Frost currently serves as OMI's Middle School Principal. From 2009-2010 she served as a 6th grade Teacher. She served as Dean from 2010-2013, Director of College and Alumni Outreach from 2013-2014 and BTSA Coach and 6th grade Teacher from 2014-2016. In 2011, she completed the LTC Influencer's Course in Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Katherine comes to OMI from the John Muir Charter Schools, where she served students and staff for twelve years at school sites across California, from Orange County to the Oregon border. She has held various positions at JMCS, including teacher, school site principal, director of instruction, deputy director, and her final position serving as the school's Chief Operations Officer.
Her experiences include seven years with the Long Beach Unified School District at Lakewood High School serving as a Social Studies teacher, head of the Girl's Soccer program, and European Summer Trip Advisor.
Katherine has worked in the field of education since 1996. She holds a Single-Subject Teaching Credential in Social Sciences and an Administrative Services Credential.
