Major Gilbert E. Sanchez is a career educator and military professional with 13 years of experience in education and 29 years in the military. Maj Sanchez has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, a Master’s Degree in Education and he recently completed his Doctorate Degree in Organizational Leadership. Maj Sanchez’ military career started in the United States Air Force. While assigned to Moody AFB, GA and Kadena AB, Japan, he deployed in support of Desert Shield/Storm. He transferred to the California Air National Guard where he served as a Supply Technician, First Sergeant, Human Resource Advisor, and his final assignment was as the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 163D Attack Wing, March ARB, CA.
Maj Sanchez’ educational career started in 2000 as a classroom teacher in the Whittier Union High School District teaching high school biology, chemistry and physics. He moved to the District’s Continuation School in 2003, where he taught biology, life science and physical science.
Dr. Sanchez is married to Ofelia R. Sanchez and together they have raised three children.
